BQ34Z100-G1: QMAX and OCV Taken not getting set after discharge

Hi,

We are using a BQ34z100-G1 chip in my application.

We have previously qualified the battery as a CHEM ID 0808, max deviation 11.04% using the GPCTools.

After a successful charge cycle we have performed a discharge cycle at aprox C/5 rate.

ISSUE: After a long relax time, OCVTAKEN did not update. Consequently, we do not get a valid SOH update.

This same situation has occurred on other cycles and other batteries we have tested.

Can you please examine the attached log file and gg.csv file and provide and provide an explanation?

Hi Tim, OCV was not taken during discharge relax since it is still in Discharge mode. (DSG bit is set to 1)
Dsg Relax Time is set to 1,800 seconds in your gg.csv file. Would you change it to 60 seconds ?

Thank you that worked. If you get this message can you please profive a brief description of "Dsg Relax Time"? Apparenlty I misunderstood how to use that value.

DSG Relax Time means that Discharge to relax timeout.When discharge is stopped (Current < Quit Current), the device will exit discharge mode and enter Relax mode after this time is passed. If it is set to 1,800(30mins), it goes into Relax mode after 30mins. Mostly, we recommend to set below 60 seconds if there is no specific reason
