TPS53319: Soft Start time @min & max

Part Number: TPS53319

Hi

My Customer has question.would like you to cooperate.

Because customers are in a very hurry, I want comments as soon as possible.

I read the following article.

The value in Table 3 of the data sheet is recognized as the time from the rise of EN to the time when Vout rises.(SoftStart Time + EN deglitch, etc)
Although this customer is convinced of this, how much is the value of "Soft Start" only?
How is "Soft Start" implemented internally?
(Time constant by RC, using Clock source, etc.)

Best Regard

T Kishi

  • T.

If you are looking for the SS times only, they are as listed in the datasheet Electrical Characteristics table on page 6 and Table 3 on page 19.  The available SS times are 0.7, 1.4, 2.8 and 5.6 msec.  Slow start is accomplished by incrementing an internal DAC that controls the internal reference voltage.

  • Hi

    Thank you for reply.
Customer understand that there is description of SS time.

Customer understand that there is description of SS time.
Also I understood that internal SS time is generated by DAC.
When SS time is generated with DAC, how much is "accuracy"?
If you do not have clear numbers, you can do so with the accuracy you expect, so please let me know.

  • T,

The numbers in the datasheet are what we have,
