    The state machine for any of our chargers is quite large, complicated and somewhat proprietary. Datasheet figure 13 shows the ideal charge profile of a LiIon battery, which the state machine follows. The host can change the values at which the state machine makes decisions (e.g. V(BAT) at which to enter CV or the fast charge current in CC). If you have specific questions about what happens after certain events, I can help answer them.
