DC Ripple Measurement IC's or Methods

Hi,

My Application is Power Quality Analyzer, In which I have to Measure the DC supply's ripple factor.

So I am requesting TI has any IC's to measure DC ripple content and gives the analog output such that I can measure the value through Microcontroller?

or Please give the method to measure DC ripple through microcontroller?

Hello Dineshkumar,
Thank you for posting to TI's E2E forum.

The most critical element of determining ripple is how to actually measure it.
Due to parasitics, how you extract the ripple signal is extremely important.
Once you have the signal extracted, an A to D converter can be selected whose sampling rate satisfies the bandwidth of the ripple you want to measure.

Ripple has some high frequency components that would require a high speed data converter.
The A to D converter in an MCU may not be fast enough to measure the higher frequency ripple components.
