Hello, I am developing a project with the following power needs:
* The main power external to the project, will normally come from a 5V source through a USB port (not PC but wall adapter) with capacity of 2A.
* When the main power fails, the project will have a 3.7V Li-on battery with 2A current capacity.
* When the battery is discharged the system should also charge the Li-on battery and supply current to the rest of the circuit.
* The project needs two main voltages: one of 4V intended for a GSM module (SIM800L with a VIN of 3.7 V - 4.4V) and another of 3.3V for the rest circuit.
* The GSM module that I will use does not always consume 2A, only when sending data and, more critical when I supply voltage for the first time, when it joins to the GSM network.
* To solve this need in the project I thought would implement the following circuit (bellow block diagram image):
* Do you think that it will be a good alternative to solve the need of the project? or what recommendations or suggestions could you give me?
Thanks for your help.
Att,
Javier
