BQ24610: BQ24610 charged fully indicator light turn on issue

Part Number: BQ24610

BQ24610 charged fully indicator light turn on issue:

when fix BAT charge current(2.3A), rise regulation Voltage( for example:22.3A)  /rise precharge current ( for example:200mA) ,charged fully indicator light  will be turn on in advance?

  • Not sure I understand your question.

Please refer to datasheet page 22 table 2.

Charge complete means that the battery voltage has reach the regulation voltage and the charge current has taper to the termination current.

If you increase the battery regulation voltage setting while the charging is in CC mode, it will not cause termination. IC should continue charge.

If you increase precharge current, then termination current threshold is increased as well.

Please make sure the regulation voltage is increased before you make change to the precharge current. If voltage regulation voltage is decreased, then based on the battery voltage, you might get into CV mode and current would start to taper. When you increase precharge current, the termination current will be increased correspondingly, thus the charge might be terminated.
