BQ27220: how to quit BQ27220 from rom mode

Hi all,

There is a customer configure the BQ27220, and click the button ENTER_ROM, so how to make it quit?

This command sends the device into ROM mode in preparation for re-programming. The
OperationStatus()[SEC1, SEC0] = 0,1 AND 0xF00 to ManufacturerAccess(). The device goes to ROM
mode ready for updates; use 0x08 to ManufacturerAccess() to return.

the customer input 08 but it doesn't work

Hi Robin,
This gauge is a rom gauge. You can't program srecs. What is the customer trying to program on the chip? Gmfs or otfs?

Sorry, I'm not really sure. Could help on what the srecs, gmfs, otfs mean?
Do you mean it is not able to happen for the customer to enter ROM? the customer said, he just click the button by mistake.

Hi Robin,
If he is unable to communicate the device and had clicked the button by mistake, have him replace his iC

srec is the firmware file used by bqstudio to program flash based gauges which this device is not one. You put the device in ROM mode to program the srec before exiting.

gmfs allows you to program the data memory of the device using bqstudio.
Otfs allows you to program the one time programmable memory of the bq27220.
