TPS61291: copmonent optimization for battery juicing -- 2 oputput caps

Part Number: TPS61291

Hi again,

In my improved design, I have used a more robust inductor (VLS252010HBX-3R3M-1), and placed 2x22uF  capacitors on the output.

My questions are:

1) placing 2x22uF 0805 capacitors have forced me to place the inductor further away (by the width off 2 caps instead of one, since it is all on the same side of the PCB) -- is this a problem?

2) It is unclear from the datasheet what the advantage of placing 2 capacitors instead of one is -- is there an advantage to the DCDC operation other than lower ripple on the output (eg. better operation at lower input voltages etc)?

Thanks,

Uri
