Hi,

looking into this device I have a few questions which needs clarification especially on the charging status indication. In the product summary, does the LED status indication means we can only either display status or either "Charging" or "Done" only?

we are trying to implement LED color change for indicating Charging & Done status. So will need feedback on this.

Also client is attempting charge up 1S Li-Po 1130mAh battery, assuming worst case charge input of 5V,0.5A. Are there charge up time formula which can refer to estimate full charge time?

    Hello
    The CHG output is low during charge and charge done is a high impedance but CHG has some conditions to be noted, see Table 2 and 9.3.5.7 for additional info.
    Do not have a charge time calculator but a good estimate can be base of the battery capacity (1130mAh) and the charge current (0.5mA) this should be 2 to 3 hours. Many battery manufacturers can provide information on charge times.

    upon looking into Table.2 & section 9.3.5.7, is it possible to add/connect another LED at CHG pin in parallel, by using FET to trigger the additional LED when fully charged?

    can we use such configuration to inform user when device is in charge mode and full charge mode?

    Yes this can be done, but while a low on /CHG indicates charging in progress a high impedance can indicate conditions other than charge complete.
