TPS92314: emission of harmonic current

Part Number: TPS92314

Dear Sir,

I am sorry to bother you again, but  does  TPS92314 EVM or Reference design using TPS92314 has test data

about IEC6100-3-2 class C which is pollution by  harmonic current?  ( Sorry my typo of previous post)

I had saw EMI test data in PMP4362 ( sluuaf0.pdf), but it seems different from customer 's need...

Sorry to bother you , but with my best regards

  • Hello,

Unfortunately we don't have that data. THD and Power Factor are related so high PFC means THD cannot be too high though it can be out of spec at certain points. Also the design and EMI filter affect this so any changes in power level, EMI filter will change this. This design is non-dimming which makes it easier to mean THD requirements. This is due to not needing the damping network which adds capacitance across the input.

The power stage is fairly similar on many of these designs so the THD be similar. 240 VAC is a bit more difficult than 120 VAC but universal input is harder, FYI.

    Regards,
  • Hello again,

If you look at the data for the 230V EVM it should be similar, I would guess it might be a little better since it is higher power level, TPS92314A19230VEVM.
