TPS659039-Q1: TPS659039-Q1 TOP SETTING ACCESS

Part Number: TPS659039-Q1

TPS659039-Q1 with ordering code : 09039A389IZWSRQ1

I try to set output voltage to my required value automatically after power on.

i got value of register 0.x23,27,2b,2f,33,37,3b but they not persistant.

firmware voltage value are not completly good for my board.

i dont find any help in all technical document to write value to OTP, can you help me by decribe process for programming my voltages to be persistant after reset/poweroff/poweron.

in case of OTP isnt opérational for costumer, is TI able to provide a spécial ref/config for our application?

thanks for your answer.

  • Hi,

    The device will always default to its original OTP settings after a reset. This device does not allow you to change the OTP once it leaves the TI factory.

    Why is this configuration not working for your application/board?

    Thanks,
    Nastasha
  • Thanks Nastasha for your answer.

    I need to tune the voltage @boot standalone on an OTP 89 chip.

    I have selected this chip because timing and voltage can be modified in the OTP (this is on the first page of the DS).

    nowhere in the datasheet is spécified that TI program this OTP at end of the factory, if it's not USER usable why this is in datasheet?

    Is really ALL registers of OTP flash by TI factory or only the register with parameters specify for OTP version (example: SPMS12. voltage program in OTP but SMPS12. force isn't programmed).

    OTP VALUE --> NEEDED VALUE

    SMPS12 : 1V15  --> 1V0

    SMPS3 : 1.35 OK

    SMPS45 :  1V06 --> 3V3

    SMPS6 : 1V15 --> 0V675

    SMPS7 : 0 (off) --> 3V3 (on)

    SMPS8 : 1V8 OK

    SMPS9 : 0 (off) --> 1V2 (on)

    power up timming is configurable?

    If no Solution is find for this we have to remplace this chip with another --> redo schematic --> redo routage --> redo pcb --> a lot of K€ for this and delay problem

  • Pauzet,

    The OTP information is in the datasheet so that you can understand the difference between all the TPS659039x devices. All of the OTP registers are configured at the TI factory.

    In looking at your needed voltages, I have a few comments:
    1. This device doesn't support 0.675 voltage
    2. We don't have an exact match for you. You do have the option of contacting your TI sales rep about a custom OTP.

    Power sequence is also part of the OTP. You cannot change it once is has been programmed at the TI factory.

    Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Thanks,
    Nastasha
  • Thanks NASTASHA, my last question is :
    whos are the REP for EUROPE/FRANCE zone?
  • Hi,

    I contacted the representative for your region. They should reach out to you soon.

    Thanks,
    Nastasha
