BQ24172: Whether we can remove the battery detection of the BQ24172 with external circuit?

Hi team,

My customer is using the BQ24172 now. They want to remove the battery detection function and get the no output when removing the battery. Do we have some methods to achieve it?

    Hi Frank,

    The battery detection function is internally enabled and there is no external way of disabling it. Since the charger is standalone, it needs a way to make sure there is a battery connected on the output before it starts charging.

    What is the reason to disable the battery detection? Can you explain a little more what they want to do?
