I am looking for a battery protection & cell balancing IC for a high-temp 4S lithium-ion battery pack. Ideally I would like an IC that has an operating temperature rating of 105degC or more.
I came across the prelim datasheet for BQ77915. This part looks very interesting, but only specifies a maximum storage temp in the Absolute Maximum Ratings. The only place I can see the operating temperature specified is 85degC in the 'Recommended Operating Conditions' table. This seems to be a recommendation rather than a hard limit.
Will this IC survive higher operating temperatures? Alternatively, are there other similar ICs that are rated for more than the usual 85degC?
