TLV62585: Need an alternative component with 5A output instead of using TLV62585 (3A)

Hi,

I need an alternative component with 5A output instead of using TLV62585 3A switching regulator.

Specially I need to output Vin as it is for power sequencing thing.

My requirements are Adjustable DC/DC switching LDO regulator with 5A output. And input voltage should be 5.3V or 6V and output voltages should be 5V, 3.3V, 1.5V and 1.2V using separate ICs.

Please recommend me an alternative instead of using 3A TLV62585

We currently have dual phase devices like the TPS62180 and TPS62480 that can deliver upto 6A

Thank you very much for the suggestion.
And I would like to ask another question from you.

What is the voltage ranges of EN pin in TPS62480 ?
That means what is the Logic High voltage range and what is the Logic Low voltage range?

Can I give 3.3V to Enable the regulator?

As stated in the datasheet the voltage should be higher than 1.2V to ensure the device is enabled.

Yes it can get as input 3.3V as the maximum input voltage of this converter is 5.5V

Hi Sabrina,

Sorry I am not very clear about your answer.

Previously I ask about TPS62480 but I change my mind to do the design using TPS62180

So I am referring to the TPS62180.

So I suppose to use power sequencing using 3.3V output as shown in the image attachment.

Is that possible to do the power sequencing as shown above?

If you look into the datasheet this device has a SS/TR pin that allows exactly what you want to achieve: power sequencing.
I would recommend to first take a look at the datasheet of this device and at the following app note : www.ti.com/.../slva470a.pdf

Hi Sabrina,

I am not going to use soft start but i need to use power sequencing.

First I need to enable 3.3V and then I need to Enable other regulators using 3.3V.

So is this method is okay?
