Hi ,

I recently started working on TLC59291 16 Channel LED driver . I am  driving this IC via SPI interface. My code is running properly and I am getting the desired output but some times the same code is not working. Is this the problem occurs because of the function data latch ?.  This problem occurring  when I power off the device then again plug in. please help me in that .

    Hi, Jaswant,

    When the device is powered up, the data in control data latch are set to the default values shown in Table 8.

    So you need to write the control data everytime you power it on if you need to change the control data.

    If the code is the same everytime you power ON the device, the result should be also the same.

    Hi kennath,

    I am trying to read the SID Data . but not able to do it .Please give me the sample code for SID  read. and still I am not able to resolve the voltage problem on OUT pins. In case of 0 OUT channel voltage is 0 volt . whereas in case of 1 I am getting 0.3 volts .  so I am trying to read the LOD (Led open detection ) value that is present in SID register but not able to read it correctly .

    Sorry but we currently don't have the SID read code.

    Please refer to the datasheet 8.4.7.
