Now i am using in my design battery as well 12vdc which is generated from AC supply. Both are in oring circuit. Any one will come as input in board.
My question is can I use LMR62014XMFE in which output voltage is 12 V fixed and input voltage 12V (when AC supply is there in my board) and 8.4V (when AC is off , MY board is working on battery)? LOAD current is 0.5A.
Please let me know input 12V and output is 12V, possible to work?

You could use LMR62014 for 12V to 12V application.
there is a reminder.
If Vin is close to Vout, the output ripple will be big.
I just test in LMR62014 EVM, if Vin=12. Vout=11.5V Iout=0.5A, the waveform is as below.
Blue: SW Red:IL Yellow: output voltage ripple.
if Vin is a little higher than Vout, the diode will be passed through. Vout=Vin-Vdiode.
My suggestion:
1 add more output cap
2 increase 12V input voltage to 13V.
In my design, maximum input voltage is 12V and minimum input voltage is 7.4 V battery voltage which can come down to 7V also . Our fixed output voltage is 12V with 0.5A current. Releted schematic is below. Suggest me whether it is ok or please give me solution.
