Hi everyone,

I'm using this load switch TPS22860. In order to check it works properly, I've bought this part number TPS22860EVB.

I have trouble with it. When I enable the load switch the voltage drop too much and I can see a big peak current. I attach a screenshot of I(current) and V(Voltage):

If the voltage drop too much, the uController I'm using, stops working. Does anyone any suggestion why this peak current?

Hi Oscar,

The TPS22860 does not have a controlled rise time, so you could be seeing a large amount of inrush current when first turning on the switch if you have an output capacitance. You could use a device like the TPS22917 if you are looking for a load switch with low leakage and a controlled rise time to limit the inrush current.
