Hello,

My customer has a question of TPS61170 as below.

The CTRL pin of the TPS61170 is externally controlled.

Depending on the situation, it seems that voltage is applied to the CTRL pin earlier than Vin pin.

Is there a problem as an IC?

CTRL can be directly connected to the Vin. When CTRL is seperated connected, usually add Vin first, then enable the IC through CTRL .

On their system, the sequence will start CTRL first.
Is it serious problem for IC to launch CTRL first?
Should I change it to another IC ?

Generally, for most of IC, CTRL should be added before the Vin signal or at the same ti me of the Vin signal. Add the CTRL first is not sugested. Why your customer want to add the CTRL first?
