To set the charge current use equation (2).
This is I-CHG= K-ISET / R-ISET , Typical value for K-ISET is 890 and the equation can be rearranged :
R-ISET=890/I-CHG
Also see Section 10.2.2.2 it will have an example of this calculation

Equation 3 is used for the Charge Current Translator this is used to monitor the current out.

Hello Bill,
I don't understand at all. I can calculate Icharge by EQ 2. I met the customer's requirements.
What's mean I monitor current out?

Hi Kami
ISET pin is a current source that is proportional to the current going to battery. Voltage developed on R-ISET is then proportional to current going to battery and can be used to monitor battery current. See section 9.3.5.1 for more information.
