We want to create negative power as below.

Input : 3.3V

Output : -2V / 1.5A

Is it possible to meet this requirement with TPS54160A?

And I found SLVA317B application report.

Could it be a reference for our requirement?

If you have other reference materials, could you share it?

Hello,

The rated minimum input voltage for the TPS54160A is 3.5V. Have you tried WEBENCH for a solution?

I mistook input voltage. Input is 3.5V.

How to configure -2V output in WEBENCH?

Hi Na Na,

As that app note should explain, you need a buck with a much higher switch current compared to the output current. So, you cannot use a 1.5A device to make a negative 1.5A output.

What type of system do you have with a 3.5V rail? Is there a higher voltage available?

This reference design gets very close to delivering your output power. It can deliver it with a higher Vin. www.ti.com/.../TIDA-01405

And please tell us SLVA317B additionally.
Is it possible to meet our requirement if we use other device which has higher switch current? (Such as TPS54531)

Because ordinary DCDC converter would offer flexibility and low cost than a module type.

Yes, you can use a higher current discrete device. TPS62135/6 has this inverting reference design: www.ti.com/.../TIDA-01423
