TPS53659: For Intel CRB cost down solutions

Dear all,

There is cost down solutions of Intel CRB, which combine the VCCSCSUS,VCCGBE ,P1V05_PCH to one P1V05_COMBINED, the spec of the new output is blow:

Customer want to use TPS53659, but concern the +/-18mV output tolerance, in the reference design of Intel CRB, only MLCC cap is used and switching frequency is 1MHz.

Do we have such solutions for the cost down, and any test data?

Hi John,

please confirm which intel pltform? we did this earlier for BROADWELL 45W/35W/25W platforms, but not all MLCC cap.

would please details of load transient specifiactions also.

Hi Rama,

The platform is Grangeville, and the Broadwell-D CPU is D-1567(65W), the transient specification is 5.48A@7A/us(max step load@ max slew rate), do you have some data to show?
