TL720M05-Q1: What is between suffix G and non-G

Part Number: TL720M05-Q1

Team,

What is the difference between TLM720M05GQKVURQ1 and  TLM720M05QKVURQ1?

Best regards,

Tetsuro

  • Hi Tetsuro,

The difference is in the material content.  You can look up the material content by viewing the Details on the Quality & packaging tab of the product folder and selecting the part number.  Alternatively you can access this data by going to the material content search page and searching the part number.  You can see on these documents that they have a different mold compound and different bond wire, so they have different part numbers on the web.

    Very Respectfully,

    Ryan

  • Hi Ryan,

    Thanks for your reply
I understood, but I cannot see the information for TL720M05GQKVURQ1 on the web page, so I canot compare the differences.
Also I would like to know why the different materials exist.

    Best regards,
    Tetsuro
  • Hi Tetsuro,

You should be able to view the material content.  Here are direct links:

    TL720M05QKVURQ1

    TL720M05GQKVURQ1

I did some additional digging into the differences between the two and you will note that the "G" device has gold in the bond wires whereas the "non-G" device does not have gold in the bond wires.

    Very Respectfully,

    Ryan
