Hello,TI Experts,

I want to know what's the meaning of "Constant Average Current, up to 2 A”？I see the description according to TPS92515 datasheet.

What will be the differences between the description with MSP solution ,2.5A Maximum Peak Current?

    The TPS92515 regulates peak current, the MPQ2483A looks to regulate average current. So the TPS92515 will regulate peak currents higher than 2A where the average current will be 2A. The MPQ2483A has a current trip point of 3.0A, 2.7A minimum. The average current will depend on how much current ripple is present to be at 2.5A peak or less. At 30% peak to peak current ripple the average would be 2.125A, at 60% peak to peak current ripple the average would be 1.75A.

    The current sense resistor is external on the TPS92515 so it doesn't have a limit regarding this except for thermal considerations.
