Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25700A,
Dear Engineers,
when using two (f.e.) TIDA-01627 with the same battery, is there a way to link Vsys of both BQ25703As together so that one BQ in source draws power from the other sink-BQ while the latter is charging the battery? I am trying to hook two DRP together so power plugs or end user devices can be connected to either port – simultaneously (with their individual PD profile and hence voltage and current draw).
I didn’t find a way around connecting both BQ25703A (or BQ25700A) directly to the battery in parallel, since this would give no reading on the SRP/SRN of the source controller hence not offering any boost mode…
I mean on the other hand I don’t see how there is a reverse voltage protection for Vsys.
I am in design stage so haven’t tested this myself. I highly appreciate any resources to further extend my knowledge!
Thank you,
Karim
(If it is possible to work together with experts concerning these chips as well as those who understand PD overall, I’d be very willing to pay since we are trying to bring a product to the consumer market with around 15$ worth of TI chips per unit. I don’t know if that is the right place to ask – I am still new here.)
