LP55231: How to customize LED driver's power up output state until driver up

Hi all,

I am using TI LED driver LP55231SQE/NOPB to drive three RGB LEDs. This LED driver is currently controlled by Sitara CPU via I2C bus, this cause some delay from board powered up until LED light up, It takes about 4 second for now.

We want to reduce this delay as small as possible.

I wonder if there is a way to reduce this delay? such as a preset ROM config that allow LED driver to execute first as soon as power applied to the driver, then CPU up and overwrite the ROM setting via I2C bus?

Hi,

It's not normal for such a long time delay.

What's kind of data are you sending to the driver?

Since LP55231 has engines inside which can pre-load code, you can also try with this function for a large amount of code.

How can we create a pre-load table and how can we load that table to IC? For mass production, can TI or distributor help to preload a table to device before shipping to us?

Please be noted it's SRAM and if power off the data is lost.
