From the datasheet:
Additionally, the regulated system input enables instant system turn-on when plugged in even with a totally discharged battery.
Basically this part ignores SYSOFF when you plug in the charge power and OUT will go hot. I used SYSOFF as a main power control to my circuit, which turns out to be annoying for my application. is there a way to bypass this feature? I dont want my system powered when the charge cable is plugged in, ie, if SYSOFF is high. I would like OUT to remain off when the charge power is applied, but still charge the battery.
Perhaps a suggestion of a part that will work for me?
