I want to design a smps with an output that can be adjusted from around 0.5V to 5V at 2A. Are there any TI ref designs that could be adapted to do this? Or does anyone know of any parts that would be suitable?
Thanks

Hi Kevin
I need to design a dc supply. I have 12V available for the input but could have some regulation to drop it down.
I dont need any isolation between the input and output.
In terms of adjusting the output, I need to be able to adjust it from a micro controller. As long as I can do that i dont mind on the implementation.
If an LDO could do that job that that would be fine. the reason I was thinking SMPS is due to the power dissipation.
Price and switching frequency doesn't matter.
What I am trying to do is create a power supply that has low noise <1mV to power a peltier cooler for a image sensor. I need to be able to control the output voltage to be able to control the temperature of the cooler. At the moment I am using a PWM controller but its too noisy (26mV ripple) which is causing issues with the image sensor data.
Thanks
Jon
