OVP is not a typical feature for PoE as the PSE will output a known voltage range per the standard. However, an supervisors portfolio has a window detection that you can use to signal shutdown the converter.

Or are you referring to voltage transients? In this case, there are protection components like the TVS front end that help protect during ESD (as an example). For surge events, additional protection components can be used like for outdoor applications.
