TPS65132: whether the code will influence the correct functionality

Part Number: TPS65132

Hi team,

In order to be compatible with an OCP IC in the whole system, my customer wrote a code as below. Can you help confirm whether this code will influence the correct functionality and operation of TPS65132? Thank you!

Best Regards,

Hongjia

  • Hello Hongjia,

Would it be possible to get a description of what the code is doing? I can check if the expected behavior of the code has an influence on the device, but because of lack of programming experience I cannot give any feedback on the code itself.

    Best regards,
    Brigitte
  • Thank you Brigitte.

The code is actually used to be compatible for 3rd vendor of display screen. The screen need +/-6V supply voltage and I think it is not where the question is. After checking with customer, the real question is to review the whole code for them. Can you help find a right software engineer? Thank you!

    Best Regards,
    Hongjia
  • What is the processor used for control?  I think reviewing the entire code is beyond the scope of our engagement.  As Brigitte stated we can review the aspect of TPS65132 control.

  • Hello Honjia,

I do not quite understand what the customer is asking for. The code implies instructions that decides what message to print on the kernel. However the values printed out are set in the function “regmap_write()” and the conditions when to set the variables compare_lcd_id and ocp_flag. However these are not described in the cutout.
For additional review I believe we should get additional insight in the code description.

    Best Regards.

  • Thanks Ilona for your reply.

Yes this code is in order to make compatible with another screen display vendor . I have already explained it to the customer and thank you for your help.
