BQ78350-R1: Removing unwanted data log columns in bqstudio

Part Number: BQ78350-R1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO

Hi,

Is there a way to remove unwanted data log columns after creating a log? I unchecked all but three parameters to be logged (voltage current temperature), but once the file is created a lot more columns appear (alert stats, batt stats etc). Can I get rid of these without having to edit the log manually?

Thanks,

JP

  • Hi JP,
In the bqStudio menu Window|Preferences will allow you to select the "Show Advanced Views" under "All Global Settings". With that selected the Registers pane will show check boxes next to each register. Note that there are boxes next to both the "Registers" and the "Bit Registers".
The columns Sample, DateTime, ElapsedTime, LogRowTime(ms), and LogStatus are built into the log format and can't be turned off.
If you try to turn off all registers you will get a message to select one of the log items when you try to start a log.
