UCC27611: Question about the integrated LDO

Part Number: UCC27611

Hello,

I would like to have more information on the LDO integrated in the UCC27611. In fact, due to a large number of GaN FETs to drive, I have some thermal concerns for the UCC27611, so I would like to reduce the power dissipation in its LDO.

1. What is the dropout voltage of the LDO ?

If I want to garantee 5V at VREF, what is the minimum voltage should I apply on VDD ? (The average drive current at VREF=5V is estimated to 32mA)

2. How this LDO is it made ?

Is it possible to use an external LDO and apply 5V directly to the VREF ? In this way I would be able to move the LDO losses to an external component. If it is possible, what should I do for the VDD ? Can I put the same 5V on the VDD ?

Thank you in advance for your answer.
