TPS62170: Enable to Power Good Delay

Part Number: TPS62170
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62140

Hi Team,

One of our customer is looking for what the delay is from enable to power good?  Would it be the internal propagation delay (tpd) mentioned in page 9 of the datasheet?

Our customer also has the same question for the TPS62140.

Thanks for the help and best regards,

Jerry

  • Hi Jerry,

No, that propagation delay refers to the current limit.

The EN and PG timing are not directly related. PG floats high after Vout is in regulation, which happens some time after EN. For the TPS62140, this time is completely adjustable by adjusting the SS time.

You can see the startup waveforms in each D/S to see EN and PG.
