TPS92611-Q1: Current Comsumption at PWM Input=Low

Part Number: TPS92611-Q1

Dear, Sir.

My customer is considering to use PWM input for enable/disable control.

I would like to make sure the current comsumption at PWM=Low.

Is it achievable max. 10uA same as EN=Low?

Sorry to disturb your job, abain. Please give your advice.

Best Regards,

H. Sakai

  • Are you referring to the current when EN=HIGH and PWM=LOW? In that case, the current is close to the I(quiescent). So the maximum current should be 0.25mA.
  • Dear, Shirley-san.

Thank you so much for your valuable advice, always.

You are right, I wanted to know the current when EN=HIGH & PWM=LOW. So it

has been cleared by your answer,

The control by EN pin will be better considering current consumption.

My customer would like to minimize the external component as resistor to save

    the cost & PCB space.

    Vin = 6 to 18V, ILED = 100mA. VLED = 3.2V

EN is 0 to 5V controlled by another ECU

PWM is connected to Vin immediately (NOT USED PWM dimming)

DIAGEN is connected to GND immediately (NOT USED DIAG function)

    /FAULT is floating.

I suppose the above connection will be no problem for TPS92611-Q1, but

I would like to double-confirm with you.

Sorry again & again. Please give your advice.

  • Hi Sakai-san,

There's no issue with the configuration. Just need to check the thermal at the maximum input voltage and maximum ambient temperature. Customer needs to have good board thermal design to ensure good thermal dissipation.
