Hi team,

My customer asked about current spike when charging capacitive load.

With Figure.1 setup, load current shows spike when at the end of charging capacitor.

Could you provide why this current spike appear?

I understood the measurement result is from simulation and not bench test. Is that right?

Hello Mahmoud-san,

I'm sorry for making confusion, Figure.2 is actually bench tested/measured result, not simulation result.

Figure.1 is just showing bench test setup.

Hello Fujihara-san,

The current limit loop can produce overshoot when FET is transitioning from saturation region to linear region.
