WEBENCH® Tools/LM5122: Simulation with LM5122-Q1

Part Number: LM5122

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hello everybody,
I try to create a simulation with LM5122-Q1. Design inputs: Vin (min) = 8.0V, Vin (max) = 16.0V, Vout = 48V. This allows a maximum current of 1A. 2A gives an error message: "Can not find suitable FET for the design. Try reducing load current". I ould like to achieve an outputpower of 400W. The idea is to divide the current (and thus the power) in dual-phase interleaved configuration. Schematic for one stage is attached.
Scematic of DCDC booster wird LM5122-q1
My question is: is there a way to achieve 400W with only two stages? What would be an alternative?
Thank you for your effort.
  • Try to change the ambient temperature to -40C. The Webench mode does not enable parallel MOSFETs and the single MOSFET may become overheated for your high power. In really application, you may need parallel MOSFETs to share the power.
