Part Number: SM72295

  • As the title ,SM72295 used in buck-boost (dc-dc),pins shrot at HOB vs HSB.
  • Design:The grid of all mosfets have no series resistance.
  • possible Resions:EOS damage.(1) over current (2) over voltage
  • test: no over-voltage was observed from Oscillograph waveform

  • Hi zaixue,

Welcome to e2e!!! Sorry you are having difficulty in your development process.

Can you contact your local TI Sales Office to further debug the issue? I assume you worked with them to get this Device Analysis completed.
  • Hi,Don Dapkus

Thanks for your reply.I have contacted  local TI Sales Office and the picture I provided in the question comes from them.

Something may help us to analyse the problem.

SM72295  used in  buck-boost topolo(DC-DC)will break when DC-DC switch on a large load Capacitance suddenly.10% of our DC-DC productions have this problem.

If you have any idea, you can give me email.

    Best regards
