BQ76PL455A-Q1: battery chemistry kind supported

I have another question about bq76pl536(pl536)and pl455, Can i use these IC for 1 cell balancing and monitoring of voltage and current? the limitation in datasheet for pl536 is 3- 6 cells and for pl455 is 6-15  cells. i think this limitation because other features of this IC such as under voltage detection. if i tell summarize of my question, I want circuit of monitoring and balancing not depend on count of cells.

I want circuit of monitoring and balancing don't depend on count and of cells. this meaning i want design a circuit to work a wide range voltage battery from 2 volt lead acid battery up to 12 v lead acid battery(for example) and it's not depend on to cont of cell battery .

Hi Ehsan,

Unfortunately, the parts cannot support a cell count that low. I am mostly familiar with the automotive devices (pl455 and pl536), so I can not speak to the other solutions.
