TPS60400: the output current is 60mA , it is sink or source?

Hi,Buddy

I want use the TPS60400 as a voltage inverter, so the output is a negative voltage , and in the datasheet, the output current is 60mA,

Could you tell me it is a current sink or source, in other words, can I pull the output to ground through a resistor when the output used as a sink?

Hi Michael,

The TPS60400 makes a negative voltage, so the output current would be sunk by this voltage.

Yes, you can pull-up the output voltage to GND. Per the abs max table, OUT should not go positive by more than a diode drop (0.3V).
