LMR62014 - about resistor between VIN pin and /SHDN pin

Hi Team,

We would like to know the role of a resistor between VIN pin and /SHDN pin.

If there is not this resistor (so VIN and /SHDN pins are connected directly), does /SHDN pin break down?

Could you please let us know if you have any concern?

Hi Kanemaru,
The purpose of R3 is in case Vin bus has some spike or noise, /SHDN pin will get a clean signal, it like a filter. If you connect VIN and /SHDN pins directly, it should be OK, /SHDN pin won't be broken down. But I suggest you add R3.
