Looking for a dual rail power management and charging solution

I am exploring a number of your products and looking to support the following scenario:

Load 1: 5v @2A peak, 1.1A typical

Load 2: 3.3v @1.3A peak, 0.7A typical

Battery powered LI-ION 3.7v 10000mah capacity

Charge in support up to 2.1A

OTG support up to 0.5A

Ability to read battery voltage or optional gas gauge. Currently I am using BQ25898D and 2 TPS63070's but was wondering if there is a better solution.

Hi Larry,

I think you have the best solution. All of our chargers have power path SYS output which is only regulated for VBAT< MINSYS (typically 3.7V) and then track the battery voltage up from MINSYS up to VBATREG (typically 4.2V). The only charger plus regulator solutions we offer are at much lower power than you need.

Julian,

After reviewing a few parts we made a change from the BQ25898 to the BQ25890. We also changed one of the TPS630701 parts to a TPS630252 as the later part will supply the 3.3v rail just fine. Do you see any issues in these changes?

Hi Larry,

using the TPS630701 for the 5V domain and TPS630252 for the 3.3V domain is fine.
