BQ24725A: Using one Shunt for 2 BQ24725A

Part Number: BQ24725A

Hi Team,

my customer is using two BQ24725A in his system and its working fine. At the moment he uses two input shunt resistors (Rac) in series and connects one BQ to each of them. Is there any reason why he should not use only one Rac and connect both BQ to one shunt resistor?

Thank you for your time!

Best regards,

Simon

  • Simon,

How many common components are for the two BQ circuit? Do you have only one battery in the system? Who drives the BATFET?

If two BQ circuits doesn't share any components, such as: battery, system and BATFET..., it should work.
