Part Number: LMG3410
Hi,
This is in continuation of my previous thread with the same name which was not resolved. I was out of town so due to inability to continue the thread, the post might have been tagged as resolved. I would restate my issue below:
"I was trying to use the GAN LMG3410 daughter card module as a rectifier. But as soon as I turned on the supply. One of the GAN FET got burned (lower module). I believe it to be a manufacturing issue since I am working it as an interleaved totempole with SiC devices also, they were unharmed. Is it possible to repair the daughter card?"
The suggestion came as:
"I'm sorry to hear that you had a problem with the daughter card. The LMG3410 daughter cards are tested for functionality before they are shipped out. Could you send the schematic and startup condition for us to understand the problem? Have you used in-rush current limiting circuit? ".
To which, I replied,
"Since this is based on a research topic so I may not be able to provide a full detailed schematic but, my topic is "Interleaved Totempole-PFC design" where I will use two daughter card parallelly. But when I used it, only one daughter card got affected. the other one was unharmed.
For voltage protection I have used Varistors and I have also used a fuse which did not trip. The daughter card connections are same as TI reference design (ti.com/tool/TIDA-00961) which also includes input EMI filter.
Since another daughter card was unharmed I estimated that this was a production line issue. It would be very generous if you could provide a repair."
It would be very helpful if a repair is provided.
