TPS61021A: is this ic suitable for my application?

Dear Sir,

I have design inquiry:

Vin=1V ~ 3V

Vout=3.8V

Iout_peak=2.3A(the peak current sustain time is about 580us)

Iout_average=200mA

I looks up in your website and i find TPS61021A looks like suitable for my applicaiton.But i am not very sure.

So, could you help to give me some advise?

Vin=1V is too low. if Vin is higher than 2V, then it can support this case.

Hi Helen:
Does TI have some solution for my design?
Or, could i use big capacitor at TPS61021A 's output pin to solve this issue?

1V inpus is too low, even big can't help. if the 1v input is a must, then you can refer to the TI design PMP9772.

But if i decrease the RF PA current to 1.8A, is TPS61021 ok?

And how do you caculate the peak current 's relationship with input voltage? Could you show me the formulation?

If your min input voltage is 1V , then the maximum output current is less than 1A. So still not fit.
