BQ24190: BQ24190 Input source & Not Charging Questions.

Dear TI Team,

If Input Source is connected and Register 0x08 4 / 5bit is 0x00, if Input Source is released, is 4 / 5bit of 0x08 also cleared?
I wonder if the input source is connected to the USB HOST and input source again and it is driven by the structure that determines the charging status from the beginning.

    Hi Chun,

    REG08 is a read only register that shows the system status. If the input source is released, the battery will not charge and bit[5:4] will stay = 00.

    The value of this register is used to only show the charging status, not control it. Can you give me more information on your test setup and when you are seeing the not charging status? Specifically VBUS, VBAT, IBUS, and ICHG measurements would be useful.
