UCC28600: Change in operating current in I.C. Due to temperature

Part Number: UCC28600

Hello;

        I want to know the change in operating current of I.C. with temperature. That is does the switcher i.C. operating current increase or decrease with decrease in temperature and if yes then, with respect to Operating current at 25C, what is the percentage change in current at -10C, -25C and -40C.

  • Hi Amey,

    Thanks for your interest in UCC28600. I will check with our internal team if this data is available.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Amey,

    Thanks for your patience regarding your question. Iq was recently tested using UCC28600EVM-65W. The VDD pin was isolated by removing resistors R2 and R5 (shown below), and UCC28600 was biased with an external power supply at 15 V.

    Tests were then run with a 115 Vac, 60 Hz input. Temperatures from -40C to 105C were tested at 0%, 25%, 50%, and 100% load.

    The data shows that at no load, Iq increases with temperature. With a current load at the output, Iq increases until -10C and drops at higher temperatures. Please find the attached Excel spreadsheet, which includes the raw test data and plots for your convenience.

    Regards,
