PMIC for Intel CPU

Hi Nishizawa-san,

Intel does not support an integrated multi-rail PMIC for the Broadwell DE line, only for the Broadwell mobile SKUs.

From a discrete standpoint, there are several options. For example, TPS51631A supports VR12.5, which I believe is the SVID variant for Broadwell. The Intel reference designs have many TI components and the discrete teams can identify replacements for any competitor parts used on the reference designs.

We are looking for the PMIC that supports VR12 and VR12.5.
Are there PMIC that supports VR12 and VR12.5 other than TPS51631A?

For the Intel Xeon Platform using the 12.5 specs we recommend using the TPS53622 or TPS53659 depending on the processor SKU and TDP. Older parts such as the TPS53631 or TPS53641 will work too but generally, the newer parts are recommended these days.

If you tell me what power levels you're working at I can see if there is a reference design available to share (under NDA since it's Intel related).
