UCC28780: Can UCC28780 used other switch rather than GaN?

Hi,

I want to confirm that if UCC28780 can be used for Si or SiC switch?

From my understanding UCC28780 is a controller, it should be ok to used any switch when there are proper gate driver.

by the way, do we have other solution is able to achieve the solution for high power density and small size which is using normal MOSFET?

Dear Sir,

UCC28780 is suitable for Si and GaN devices, just change the SET pin's configuration.
For Si, connect SET pin to high.

Here is a design base on Si with UCC28780.

Don't forget to promote UCC24612 SR controller to increase the efficiency and power density.
