UCC2897A: Adaptive duty cycle clamp?

Part Number: UCC2897A

Hi,

I'm currently designing a power supply based on the UCC2897A:

Vin=36-72V

Vout=4.2V

Ioutmax=19A

Is there a simple way to add an adaptive duty cycle clamp so that the max dutycycle will depend on the input voltage?

If it could track the input voltage and set the dutycycle a little bit above the natural duty cycle of the converter,

that will provide a duty cycle guardrail to limit primary switch reset voltage and prevent transformer saturation

during load transients and input voltage transients.

High input voltage -lower max dutycycle.

Low input voltage -higher max dutycycle.

Regards,

Terje
