UCC28950: ucc28950

Part Number: UCC28950

Hi,

I have simulated the phase-shifted full bridge converter  with  UCC 28950 transient model  available in TI-web using PSPICE. I am interested in CT resetting waveform. when  i observed the wave form,  the CT is getting reset after some time.  please refer for attached image. why is the CT is not getting reset immediatly after the primary current is Zero?

it would be help full if your team can help me on this.

Regards,

  • Hello Gowrisankar

That's strange - it might be a feature of the model or something else in the schematic but to be honest I'm not sure.

Here's a plot of a Current transformer primary current - top, showing reset happening immediately the current (bottom) stops.

You could simply cut out the current transformer model itself - and build a test circuit like the one below and observe how it behaves. This simulation was done in PSIM so I can't send it to you directly but it shows the idea.

Please let me know how you get on - if you can't debug the issue then send me your schematic and I'll run it here - I'm at colingillmor@ti.com

  • Hello Gowrisankar

The waveforms don’t make any sense to me at all. Please email me the schematic you are using and I can take a closer look and try to understand what is going on –

     Regards
