BQ24770: Possibility to switch off bq24770RUY

Hi Team,

one of our customer is using the bq24770RUY in an industrial PC.

After shutting down the PC they want to disconnect the battery charger from the battery.

- is there a possibility to switch off the bq24770?

- can they use BATPRES for this use case?

- there target is to reach 0uA  Leakage current from the battery

    Martin，

    Yes. They can disable the charge (set charger current to zero) while shutting down the PC. Also, they can use BATPRES pin to reset charge current to zero.

    BTW, BATFET has a body diode which can pass a current from the battery to the system even the BATFET is off.
